I lived here for a long time--about 13 years. Then I met Tony. He also had a house. A better, larger one. So, now I live there. But, I kept the cabin, and we've rented it off and on for many years now. We've had some really great tenants and some really lousy ones. Recently, we decided to sell. There was some interest and a couple of contracts.
But they fell through.
So, I placed an ad to rent it, again.
There have been a few calls and some scary interviews, but yesterday I showed it to a single gal on the mature side, who seemed to really grasp its charm. I also got the sense that she's willing and equipped to handle the more rugged aspects of cabin life. My kind of tenant.
Though tiny (by today's standards), the cabin has a screened porch and sunroom.
A cozy, wood stove takes the edge off of electric heating bills. Can you see the beams and cathedral ceiling?
The tiny, tidy kitchen is just right. It has the original cabinets and countertops from the 1960's. Very retro!
There's a large picture window to enjoy the views of the woods, through the sunroom.
I love the wall color here in the sunroom. (Don't pay any attention to those rolls of leftover carpet on the floor.)
The sunroom is just about all windows.
Two small bedrooms and a bijou bath round out the living space.
Please be good to the little house.
